Olive oil for drizzling
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface until it is about 1/2-inch thick. Transfer the pizza dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the surface of the dough. Top with slices of mozzarella cheese and a few basil leaves—Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper before serving.
Pizza Dough Recipe: 3 cups flour, plus more for dusting
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 envelope (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- Extra-virgin olive oil for brushing
Directions:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add the warm water and stir until well combined. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes. Punch down dough and shape it into desired pizza size. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with olive oil. Preheat oven to 450 degrees and bake for 15-20 minutes or until crust is golden brown and bubbly.
Chicken marsala
This dish is made with chicken breasts, mushrooms, and Marsala wine. It’s a flavorful and elegant meal that is perfect for special occasions.
RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken breasts, pounded thin
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup Marsala wine
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
Directions:
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dredge in the flour until well coated. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or golden brown. Remove the chicken to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
Using the same skillet, lower heat to medium-low and add the mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes or until tender, then pour in the Marsala wine and cook for two more minutes. Add in the broth and bring to a boil, occasionally stirring until the sauce has thickened up some. Return the chicken breasts into the pan with the sauce and cook another 3-4 minutes or until warmed through.
